Hello Everyone!
Claire here with the latest installment of the Cunningham blog. Seems like we are in a time warp right now with all of the hockey tournaments going on. Come to think of it, I really don't know when it is NOT hockey season anymore.
Here are some pics of the kids doing their thing. Quinn is a first year Peewee and Olivia is a first year Bantam. In this picture, Olivia won game MVP for her KC Storm Tier 2 AA Travel team!
The tradition continues with Chiefs watch parties at the Cunningham house! This year the kids have started doing pyramid formations after a win. We all decided that if they win the Super Bowl again, the parents will do a formation like this!
New things are cooking here as well! Quinn and Jason really enjoy making new dishes. We were discussing our favorite holiday movies, and though The Christmas Story is not my fave, I do like the ending when the dog eats the turkey and the parents loosen up and take everyone out for Chinese food. Jason and Quinn were thus inspired to make us Peking Duck a few days after Christmas. I wasn't wild about the taste of this one, but I really liked the presentation!
Quinn decided that he wanted to make cheese this Fall as well. I bailed out in trying to help him -- it is a really intensive process and kind of grosses me out to be honest. But Jason took it on with him and they actually made some farmhouse cheese that was edible -- Murphy especially thought so!
Olivia is loving Indian Hills Middle School and Quinn is still at St Paul's. Can't believe how quickly time flies by when they get to this age :) Jason took a business trip to China earlier this month and Claire has been happily alcohol-free since early December.
We are looking forward to a great New Year ahead in 2025. Bring it on!
Love always, Claire
